I like this mantra a lot, and also I'm a big fan of letting anything spiritual be a catalyst for one's commitment to social justice and the general benefit of humanity and the world at large.

Man I'm telling you, the guitar I recorded this on had been sitting in a case in my office for years, unplayed, because it had a busted brace in the back that I couldn't fix and it would've costed more to fix it than to replace it. So I sanded the varnish off the top and turned it into an art piece, covered it in sharpie abstraction and stickers then put it away. I didn't wanna get rid of it because it was the first guitar I ever bought. It occurred to me recently that I should see if she's still got life in her and well...yes lmao. Busted braces be damned. Still a champ. I played many a gig on that axe back in the day. Will continue to do so well into the future
