Life Is Like (All You Can Eat Buffet)

Liner Notes

Alright so let's get it on

"What a cool choice to go with that homemade percussion sound set. It sounded like a trash can lid for the bass drum, and was that just forks on your table to create the "sticks" effect? I think I'm hearing the commentary that the endless bloodlust and quest for material goods has left the creatives - those of us who actually LIVE - without anything to actually make vibrant art except for the bare essentials of survival." This is about the clearest directive here, I'm reading for the lyrical theme, which I'm taking to read as something about AI replacing us or corporations making it impossible to get by on your own. There's a trash can lid in there I promise, it was just highly compressed

"I love how you stuck with that extended metaphor. I've never thought about restaurants quite that way before." Good tie in to the cutlery drumset, suppose we need to tie everything into a restaurant

"I love how you channeled your anger into this song, taking the expression to its extremes!" "I love the harmony in the chorus that sounds like muppets. Creative!" Well this is commenting on the vocal delivery, I suppose we're going for shouting and differently pitched voices in the chorus

I believe I kind of ended up turning it into an interlude, that was not my intention, there will be another interlude after this

Lyrics

I got my own hands served to me One dollar a finger The chefs would rather eat their own food And still get paid

They say life is like an all you can eat buffet But you never know just quite, what they're taking away

They're getting rid of a la carte They don't really wanna serve you anything you want You're buying meat by the pound You will never get it if you want it by the ounce

They say life is like an all you can eat buffet But you never know just quite, what they're taking away

You never know You never know Oh they would rather you starve and stay all alone You never know You never know You either have Stockholm syndrome or you stay all alone

They say life is like an all you can eat buffet If you eat it all now you can walk away

These were challenging prompts and you weaved them in seamlessly! Well done. Way to group me right in the first line!

Well, the end result is just downright impressive. I stand by my original comment. Bravo!
