Walking my god
Liner Notes
Quick inspiration from a rough #analogue #synth pulse.
Timing is way off at times, and I decided to leave the on mic banter at the start. Just getting back to FAWM-ing it!
Lyrics
I sewed a big red button on the front of my shirt.
I'm walking my god,
My rituals are building, maybe getting out of hand,
Counting magpies, drawing in the sand.
Walking my god.
Cosmic pirates setting sail in the woods,
I'm walking my god,
People stand in circles holding hands
I'm walking my god,
Go forth with love,
I'm walking my god.

The banter and laughter at the start is really nice in and of itself, but the fresh memory of it also carries through in the song. It's warming, comforting. Thank you, I enjoyed this a lot.
Touch of Nick Cave in there! I rather like the on mic banter and the "interesting" timing - hey it's FAWM!
Yes. Playing live to a synth you can barely hear and attempting to cue off the flashing of an LFO light was a whole other level of ¿que?
Nice, I really enjoy the vibes in this. It sounds like an incantation somehow. Soothing.
Thank you!
I love the lyrics and I love the drive. Not in your face but insistent; go forth with love. Not shouting but not backing down. This is wonderful.
Thanks!
I love the synth & guitar combo! This feels like a fresh windy day. Makes me excited to be alive :) "I'm walking my god/love, Go forth with love/god" is so beautiful. Really really wonderful!!!
I love you x
Your low voice makes me think of the lead singer for Crash Test Dummies. I like this phrase "walking my god" and how it touches on the phrase "walking my dog" and "walking with god" For me that points me towards this idea of it's just something I need to make mundane, every single day, no excuses. Welcome back!
I find walking my dog a time when I connect with nature and different gods sometimes seem to be present. Dogs are also angels I think, and dog backwards is god. I try find god's and Magik in the most basic of stuff, but particularly in nature.
I always love to hear off-the-cuff banter. It always adds authenticity to a performance, IMHO. This is a great little song. The synth pulse sets the stage, but the guitar & vocal really carry this. What a great message! We all need to walk our gods & go forth with love!
