So I recently purchased the reissue of Plastic Bertrand's "An 1" and it's not bad if you like "Ca Plaine Pour Moi"! So I sampled a bit from the song "Wha! Wha!" which is the riff you hear here, repeated forever. I then added uke and keys and some weird words which though I appear to attacking Plastic Betrand, i am using him as a metaphor for the whole of France (it's complicated, He was Belgian but it many ways, to me he represents my beloved France to outsiders at a particular time - I havent got the time or inclination to get into it!).

Translations of the badly pronounced French parts indicated below.

Plastic Betrand Whats going on? You’re getting on Avec les cons ("with the dcks/cnts" - however you want to translate that word, which has a hundred different translations)

Commes toutes les autres ("Like everybody else") Comme la Patrie ("like the Motherland" - this is a debatable translation, dictionaries will tell you it means 'Fatherland' but it's feminine, as indicated by the 'La')

Thought you were dead But no. Instead Tucked up in bed With Mal a Tete (literally "sick in the head", but more commonly "Headache")
