Poor Guy
Liner Notes
Lyrics
I look into your eyes and I can't say I'm surprised so free of every care for anyone anywhere
don't know how you survive on the stories you keep alive I'm talking to dead air you're certain nothing's ever fair
now this is goodbye poor guy yes this is goodbye poor guy
I know you like to steal then say you got a raw deal now please move it along I've been in it far too long
I can't see anything through the smoke you always bring
you can't keep yourself out of trouble and I know that it's only gonna double and the last thing I need is more knocking on my door
now this is goodbye poor guy you know why yes this is the last goodbye Such a poor guy

I used to struggle a lot with doubting that what I make is any good but, it just doesn't matter. It is what it is. I'm just doing my best and trying to have fun doing it. Like, taking a little time off work to focus fully on making goofy art is such a gift that I try hard not to take for granted so, here I am locked in my little musical bunker hoping somebody likes it 😂.. and thanks for the kind words, I do appreciate it!
That post chorus ditty is so rad. Love the whole vibe here. Love the slight pauses and breaks. You have a bag of tricks here and not afraid to use 'em. Nice work.
If you try enough things hopefully you remember what works, what doesn't and why.. The past couple of years I've been trying to wrap my head around why pauses and breaks help propel the next part or why flourishes help gel something a bit.. Trying also to work on textures, and meshing lyrics with the music. The syllables you use and the rhythms.. making music gets so deep it's crazy, but so fun.
Great riffage solid mix dope lyrics ace performance. I love it. So many good touches throughout that show a deft hand. Most excellent
Thank You! Sometimes you throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks. I had to move parts around and added little things to glue it together.

You are on fire this sprint. Love this, esp. the melody and "I'm talking to dead air."
