My first thought = spoilers - the horizontal fin[s] on fast cars designed to keep them pressed down on the track. So I was picturing these people with fins sticking out above their heads. So that was really weird.

Worries that turn into self-fulfilling prophesies.
If life really did come with knowing events in advance... and those things were inevitable despite anything we did to try to change them... and they were really bad, hurtful things... I think that might be a horrible way to live. Ambiguity is hard enough, but at least there's still hope, for a while.

So then I actually listened to your song. Ukulele is happy, to me. And the chord progression is mostly familiar, with a couple chords outside the key - made me think of old vinyl records I listened to as a kid. Your vocals, too... and I cheered up.
