Skirmish: Trapped (@alyxanderjames)Liner Notes
He tripped, and fell. Something sticky clung to his arms. He tried to brush it away, but entangled himself only further in the twisted threads. In the depths of the cave, shadows started to move, with way too many limbs. Plucked sounds like from a mistuned harp floated around him. Then a ghastly voice started to hiss its horrible song.
Lyrics
Trip and slip and slide and fall Stumble, topple, reel and sprawl Snap your neck and crack your skull I’ll suck the marrow from your hull
Snag and trap and catch and snare Tangle, snarl, entwine, despair Twist your limbs and choke your air I’ll gnaw your flesh, my sweety pear
Slash, rip, tear, hack Slice, chop, carve, smack
Faked and forged a veiled disguise To baffle, cloud, confuse your eyes Wreck your brains and eat my lies I’ll squeeze your juices from your cries

You've picked such juicy, meaty words - it's very satisfying to read this out loud. It feels very Tolkien-esque!
Great visual imagery. I'm thinking wolf cubs playing jumprope, but then again several days of skirmishing does strange things to your mind. Suitably dark for the trapped skirmish.
