Liner Notes

#folk #lyricsonly #skirmish Not exactly sure how this is going to be set to music (#collaborationswelcome) or what it all means, but it was a fun skirmish exercise. Addendum: I threw this into Suno just to see what would happen, and I liked the result, even though I prefer to avoid using Suno or any #AI on FAWM. Which frees up some time for more meaningful collaborations!

love the idea of opening up the concept of the "F" word. i am engaged in a difficult deprogramming of the concept that some words are bad that has school has indoctrinated my daughter with. ill reaf these lyrics aloud for her to get her mind off the restrictive word associations she has with the letter F.

yes how many F words can you use? Great groove and voices.

I used Suno a lot the last year but now that I will only get 7 --> not going to use. Time to brush the cobwebs off my instruments and try to get the quality level up to AI standards.

This was clever use of 4 letter F-words. I agree - would be hard to sing live, but it would be funny to see you try.

Yeah, I'm on the same page w/r/t Suno. The download limit is gonna hurt, but maybe that's a good thing for getting back to basics - though, I'm sticking with my DAW and ignoring the Tascam cassette deck for now! Plus, I'm realizing that the AI stuff sounds nice, but starts repeating itself after a while. Even if it's due to my technical limitations, I like that no two of my home-grown efforts ever sound similar other than the vocals.

This is really fun! I love all of the F word alliterations and how you’ve combined them to create some sense of meaning and how the chorus pulls it together so well. The Suno AI approach is not my preference either as I love real collaborations but their approach to this lyric was fantastic and I’m glad you shared it! Funky and fun all around!

Thanks, Liz! I've debated about posting the Suno, but it was too catchy to abandon. But, I can't see my self singing this at an open mic (too tough a tongue-twister, LOL) and rather than put more effort into it, I'm husbanding the time for collars (as we've done in the past!) All the best.

There's some seriously fun lines in here. I'm glad you chose a difficult path and were rewarded. I was pretty strict on myself once I found the form I was after and I really like the result. I'm glad you seem to be feeling the same way!

Thanks for hosting and giving us an engaging prompt. I wasn't really sure where to go with this, but it opened up some doors and windows. I can envision using this as a base for a rewrite someday.
