I get the feeling of hesitation here, of facing a decision point and not being able to choose a course of action. I really like the immediacy that goes with this frozen moment.

I like the idea of making it longer but I also do love a good short transitory song - they can add so much to an album and I think this could fit really well into that niche! It’s dark but really poignant.

I like this a lot (and I'm glad it's not from your perspective.) The lines painting your life in shades of grey and falling down in this social decay have a strong visual impact. I think this is a great basis for a full song if you decide you want to go that way.

Great start! I like the idea of "what would life be like if I ran away" I think you can play on that to fill out the lyric? maybe imagining the differences between the now and the possibilities? Don't know, but this has a tons of potential.
