i really dislike the vox on this...i do like the beat so maybe it'll get recycled. i'm calling it done enough for the sprint. kisses.
Lyrics
Walking in place
The sun comes up Then it goes back down Put my shoes on my feet Then my feet on the ground It feels like I’m walking in place On A stone left afloat out in outer space
Did I even come close? I feel surrounded even when I’m alone You can never go home You can never go home I just wanna go home And see where I’m from You can never go home You can never go home I just wanna put away these childish things close my eyes and see what a new day brings
Did I even scratch the surface? Beauty is skin deep Books and their covers Take cover under covers and count black sheep I lack sleep and the chance the dream You can never go home You can never go home I just wanna go home And see where I’m from You can never go home You can never go home I just wanna put away these childish things close my eyes and see what a new day brings

I think you’re right. This one will go back to the drawing board!
Wow, these lyrics are fantastic, and love the sound of this, too. Listened to all 3 of your songs, and really like your writing and the variety and power of your work.
i think your vocals are perfect for the music..but i also think your lyrics deserve a different setting altogether... something more aligned with this part of the song The sun comes up Then it goes back down Put my shoes on my feet Then my feet on the ground It feels like I’m walking in place On A stone left afloat out in outer space, i think the slow synthiness of the opening verse inhibits the rhythmic snottiness that kicks the song into gear.
