And continuing foray into using pre-existing words and lyrics as my starting point. Of a song, I was interested in using poetry. I found a random poem called A Jelly-Fish by Marianne Moore (1887 ā1972. I liked this poem's use of rhyme and internal rhyme.
Colors in the dark is a prompt from somewhere in the forum that I can't seem to find right now.
He's our sexy lyrics with sad piano chords. I wanted to be all clever and do some out of the key stuff. I think it sounds cool
Lyrics
Fold and unfold We meet and depart Your breath on my neck Swims in the dark
Pour into me Divinity Spill the wine On the sheets
The sweat of sin And angel wings God above Surely weeps
Iām lost within Your mystery Every time your spine arches
Guide me down To deeper roots Show me every Color in the dark

This is very poetic indeed and I do love the chord progressions you have chosen, along with the restrained yet emotive vocals. Listened twice.
A tantalizing lyric that makes the hair on my neck stand up a bit! Sexy and sad as you describe it, but it comes out tender and romantic.
