This is, so far, the only "goofing around trying stuff" track I made this FAWM. Like many of these efforts, I don't think it is a success musically, but it certainly let me try things I'm not good at yet, and there's value in that. It was also a combination of the #all-about-the-bass challenge and the #oddtimesignature challenge.

There are six tracks here. For the first, I used a soft mallet to get a nice bold drum-llike effect; the other percussion was me tapping on the front of the bass with my fingertips. This lovely Taylor GS Mini acoustic bass doesn't have a pick guard, and still feels new, so no fingernails! The other four tracks were me playing the bass at various spots on the neck. I did use looping and also various garage band settings, including one to raise the pitch of one track to get those high notes.

My bass playing has definitely improved, but I still feel like it's all been baby steps. There's plenty of room to grow! (But isn't there always?)

I might let this sit and add to it or edit it later, but there's not many hours to go, so I'm declaring that this bit of play is as finished as it's ever going to get.
