Liner Notes

Round 4 random collaboration. I was paired with @roxya who wrote this beautiful lyrics. I composed my piano track and sent to Roxy my rough vocal guide. Roxy sang very beautifully putting her heart and soul into her passionate performance. It was wonderful to collaborate with Roxy. Thank you to everyone who is listening and commenting.

Lyrics

Elastic

Verse 1:

They say the sun will shine soon But all I can smell is the rain How many more tears will it take Until I finally Can breathe again

Verse 2:

Some day I might be smiling too But right now I’m soaked to the bone Is it okay to say I need space Until I finally Can breathe again

Chorus:

Even elastic can be stretched too thin There’s not a thing that can hold it in until all eternity So can we just agree It’s ok to get messy

Bridge:

We wear our masks like its something to be proud of Waltzing around with swords sticking from our backs Who would’ve thought we’d all be at this masquerade Pointing fingers at those who dare to show their face

Chorus:

Even elastic can be stretched too thin There’s not a thing that can hold it in until all eternity So can we just agree It’s ok to get messy

Even elastic can be stretched too thin There’s not a thing that can hold it in until all eternity So can we just agree It’s ok to get messy

the sweetest melancholy. I love the heart and drama in both piano and vocals together. what a perfect pairing of two amazing talents. @roxya These lyrics are brilliant "We wear our masks like its something to be proud of Waltzing around with swords sticking from our backs Who would’ve thought we’d all be at this masquerade Pointing fingers at those who dare to show their face" I love how Nadia @musicsongwriter shifts the pace just a tad to really give space to the power of the lyrics in the bridge. You both worked so empathically with each other. Brava!
