Another Fyre special. She loves using revenge fantasy for coping. Vocally... FINALLY! Here we are, near the end of FAWM and we've finally been able to relax and stop letting our voice dysphoria kill us. It doesn't hurt that all of the practice we've had has allowed us to get to this point where it's much easier to hold that voice when singing. We drop out a little, and drift a little as the song goes on, but I like it. We actually had fun with this one.

We went back to the metronome and voice first method. Turned on the metronome. Sang it out in one pass. Then made the music. We were thinking... guitarists fiddle around on their guitars, pianists fool around with their pianos... I've been trying to fit my voice in with whatever I was composing. This time I tried the voice first approach again, and it works so much better for me. I sang the song and then used those notes to figure out the chords and stuff. This makes sense for me because... voice is really where my passion is. The music is just set dressing.

We accidentally sung the same line twice in the first chorus... oops. I'm not going back to fix that.

As usual, I have no idea what genre tags to use. We just like being theatrical. We tend to borrow from punk and nu-metal so we tend to use those tags, but this one doesn't feel quite either. We got the idea for this one from trance songs. Taking a song that's so coded as sexual, and wondered if we could write about a murder but make it sound like some kinky sex, so when you get to the back half and it becomes explicit it retroactively changes the context and meaning of the rest of the song.

I do think I'll edit the bridge a bit. A couple lines feel kind of clunky, but for now... here ya go.
