Journey to the Moons of Neptune

Liner Notes
#metal #doom #rock #stoner #sludge A song about loss and regret. Needs work. I wrote the riffs last week and got a bit stuck. My partner listened to it and said it sounds like travelling to the moons of Neptune. So today I wrote some lyrics while I was supposed to be working. Obviously, work in progress. The melody needs work and the lyrics need refining.
Lyrics
Journey to the Moons of Neptune
Sea-born daughters of a drowning god Slowly spinning like captured tears I recognise myself in fracture ice through Kuiper dark, through frozen years.
I cross the dark to stay the same, But you keep changing… without me.
Life moving in retrograde against the gravity of what it should be Changing slowly no stable frame Charon ferries across endless seas
I cross the dark to stay the same, But you keep changing… without me.
orbiting my tongue like debris fields Sing into vacuum, no one hears Words torn apart by tidal force Never making wishes, never facing fears
I cross the dark to stay the same, But you keep changing… without me.
Ooh, lovely fuzz! Nice contrast between the hairy guitar and the floaty, clean vocal melodies. Very good stuff! If and when you end up refining it, let me know, I'd very much like to hear the end product.
