A short interlude-style song representing pessimism and a feeling of "hope for the best, expect the worst", a feeling I live on a daily basis.

I initially wanted to write a full song with the idea of ending each line with the word "until", but I felt that would probably get annoying quite quickly. But I liked the idea of a short two-verse song that encapsulates a feeling without overstaying its welcome. It passes by, tells its story, and leaves. I find it a little haunting, in a way, and I quite like it as a result.
