Skirmish: Waiting (@olive_cramer)Liner Notes
#Skirmish #Waiting #political #collabwelcome #political #needscollab I started this on time, then started getting messages from my kids worried that I was in danger here in Mexico right now. I had to take the time to reassure them that we're at least as safe as we'd be in Minneapolis, and by the time I got back to it my time was long since up. But I'm posting it anyway and will visit the other skirmishers as soon as I can. Another one is about to start and the hurrier I go the behinder I get, to quote my father.
Lyrics
I'm waiting for the world to settle down, Right now it's almost scary just walking into town. Compared to what I hear these days, I grew up in Mayberry. And I'm seeing things every day I never thought I'd see.
I'm waiting for the world to make some sense, No children going hungry, no outrageous rents, while billionaires are building narcissistic monuments, I'm waiting for the world to make some sense.
We've seen it before around the world, Now here at home our flags are all unfurled, Carried through the street by mothers, veterans, and the rest, Flying upside down to show a nation in distress!
I'm waiting for some folks to grow a spine, To stand up for what should be yours and mine, Until that finally happens, well, I guess, I'll keep waiting, and keep marching, so the world never forgets

Mine was similar but yet different too. It's a crazy world right now. Wonderful!
Say it sister! This is very relatable and timely! I am surprised so many are tolerating so much that is happening! Your lyrics have a powerful honest feel!
