I had a friend over, and he wanted to hear my music. So we listened to a few things, and then he asked me: but how do you make this? So I opened the DAW and started showing a few things, such as how you enter notes, and how you can choose all kinds of sounds/instruments. I fiddled around a bit and jotted down a few chords and a simple melody. Basically the first 4 measures of this piece.

And then I said: well, within the spirit of FAWM, I have to finish this. So he said: OK cool, so that means I was there at the very beginning of this one :D

I wanted to keep the seed, but I also wanted energy! It was only late in the writing process that I added the tempo changes to enhance the contrast. Now, there is the "Mixed Emotions" weekly challenge, and besides music, we talked friends things, and a few emotions were brought up (nothing worrying, just normal life things). So I decided this song would fit the challenge, and I needed a title that conveys mixed emotions in one word (because my album theme this year is one-word titles).
