This is my first song for this FAWM. I've had lots of roadblocks this month, but I'm going to give it a go in the week I have left. This is version two of this skirmish song. I had it all typed in and hit add new song instead of submit.... so, not finished in an hour since it had to be reconstructed. Hoping things will go a little smoother the rest of the month ;)

It had been a full and wonderful day, Joined a No Kings Rally, heard a favorite band play, The sun had gone down and I readied for bed, Then fate whispered, get that out of your head.

When a huge glass of water meets a slippery tile floor It's a skating rink, sliding towards the door, I'd give myself good marks, but I am no Alysa Liu. I really lacked that smooth follow through.

I fell on my knees, Fell on my butt, Down for the count, But then I got up!

Looking around, I couldn't stay there. If I could move I could get to a chair, So I crawled, then I stood, holding onto the wall, Into the living room without another fall.

I had no other choice, I eased onto the couch No more moving then, ouch, Ouch, Ouch, OUCH! No cell phone there, now I was in a pickle Who would have thought that the fates were so fickle.

I fell on my knees, Fell on my butt, Down for the count, But then I got up!

No food, no water, but I had the TV. Poldark and Heartland saved my sanity, The cat wouldn't even sit on my lap, Probably for the best when I think about that.

Three nights and two days I sat there alone, Not thinking deep thoughts, wishing I had my phone, Till my Knight in Shining Armor arrived on the dime, Proceeding to whisk me away just in time.

I fell on my knees Thanked my lucky stars, What an adventure, One for the memoirs.

A brand new hip And lots of PT, Now here I am, The new Bionic me
