If Time Travel Could Return You (Orchestral)

Liner Notes

This is an orchestrated version of Nadia's beautiful piano piece https://fawm.org/songs/318279. Her pieces often give me all sorts of inspirations and associations, and this is what I heard in this one.

I've got the feeling that we're not done with this, yet - both Nadia and me have the impression that it seems to beg for a full reunion with the original piece ... ?

Man, this sounds like a very complicated, intricate dance sequence. I’m listening to this, getting inspired about how to approach collaborations with Nadia going forward. I did something similar, but after listening to this, I was truly limiting myself. This is absolutely stunning!

This is beautifully moving. The strings are very expressive and lively, and the subtle percussion sprinkling in the background tickles my brain in a pleasant way. I took particular note of the higher octave violin dropping out to a lower cello, and then that taking a a supporting role of the woodwind, but building the momentum with the arp. Very clever interplay of instruments. It sounds fluid, and builds wonderfully. I agree, the piano needs a solo interlude! Excellent work, both of you!

I'm getting some major orchestral morricone vibes from this, which is just about the highest praise I can give. absolutely gorgeous work.
