Lyrics
I don't want to be the kind of person Who never looks up at the sky I don't want to be that kind of person No, I don't want to be that guy
But my feet are firmly planted right here on the ground I'm the joker in the court of reality wearing that broken crown
I don't want to be the kind of person Who never chases after his dreams But I know that the pie in the sky Is never exactly what it seems
But my feet are firmly planted right here on the ground I'm the joker in the court of reality wearing that broken crown
I don't feel like risking my sanity Staring up at the stars I don't feel like living in a fantasy Trying to erase my scars
I don't want to be the kind of person Who gives up every time I don't want to be the kind of person Who will give it all up without tryin'
But my feet are firmly planted right here on the ground I'm the joker in the court of reality wearing that broken crown
I don't feel like risking my sanity Staring up at the stars I don't feel like living in a fantasy Trying to erase my scars
So, here I am begging you to rescue me Help me see the light Take me away from this cruelty don't let me stay inside Help me to see the sunrise

"I'm the Joker in the court of reality wearing that broken crown." The image of that line really struck me. I relate to your words, T.C.! Always enjoy your musicality and vocal delivery, and that banjo solo made my ears feel pure bliss. I loved the vocal lift of the "So here I am begging you to rescue me..." part! Awesome job, you rock!
Well done on the 14 produced song! Loved the banjo! I'm the joker in the court of reality wearing that broken crown that is a terrific line! the chorus is the star though and that's what generally makes a song a winner, really nice mate!
