Well, I had a go. Literally, that's all I'm prepared to say

It’s what you get when you eat too fast Or when you don’t chew your food enough To be avoided at a dinner party That’s when you get the burp When your stomach is disturbed

It’s what you get if you chew too much gum That’s what I read, according to some It’s what happens when some gas is released Excess of air which pops up from down there It could be worse if it came from your seat

And in some lands it’s a compliment That’s what I’ve heard, though it sounds absurd More like like an accident, not meant to be That’s what I think, maybe just me It’s a burp, it’s just a burp
