I don't really have anything to add, or any particular insight into how this happened.
Lyrics
Standing in the back room of my house today I saw my little dicky bird stepping out of his cage To the cheery little fellow I smiled and waved So I asked the little dicky bird if he's going away
Little dicky bird blue Please stay
He turned his little self around and he raised his wing He was like a tiny little courtier Someone did bring Then suddenly he opened up and he started to sing I heard a little dickie bird here inside
Little dicky bird blue I love you Little dicky bird blue please stay
But once he's said his goodbyes he's away
Not a dicky bird here Not a dicky bird there Little dicky bird blue I miss ya Little dicky bird blue Your gone
I just love this! Let the mystery of how this tune came about, remain a wonderful mystery. You so deftly captured a sweet moment between a two legged and a winged one. The little joys they bring us and the fleeting moment of that connection. Love the levity in your piano accompaniment and staccato delivery in your vocals as it adds to the joy of the moment. Love these lines in particular "He turned his little self around and he raised his wing He was like a tiny little courtier Someone did bring Then suddenly he opened up and he started to sing"
Well done!!
