Collating Dust, Collecting Sparks

Liner Notes

this one was tiring and frustrating and i do not want to work on it anymore. so this is basically unmixed, sorry. sample at the beginning is from Where Do We Begin, a podcast some streamers i like do where they talk about. like. whatever they want. the context for quote is silly, i enjoyed repurposing it into something a little more dramatic. see the cover art for a little meme context for the line about the hierarchy of needs vocals: kasane teto, utaloid #hyperpop but not rlly bcus it didnt come together how i imagined #electronic #furry #experimental

Lyrics

[Think of it, as a machine, designed to crush rabbits, like bunnies. They take these cute bunnies, and they load them into the machine, full of blades, and saws, and hammers and, its, its purpose is to kill, and eviscerate and pound all of these rabbits, and it's horrifying, and it's horrifying. But every once in a while, a rabbit, jumps the right way, and comes out the other end, completely unscathed, and that'll be, like-]

shaped by perception, just as shaped by being imperceptible sympa- empa- compassion-pathy on the hierarchy of needs, like "nothing no need to worry ^-^"

when everything else fades into the background, i will step forward hold your hand, we gotta march onwards

loveheart on your tongue strengthens your words some bolstered by daydreams it hurts none astounded at mere tally marks wait till you see my masterworks wait till ive patched up every seam its all sparks

when everything else fades into the background, i will step forward hold your hand, we gotta march onwards

this is cool bro, very quirky, but yeah sometimes we have expectations and it doesn't turn out the way we want, i been there many times before.

Sorry to hear you struggled this one, friend. I still enjoyed it! I have the luxury of thinking of it as interesting that you didn't mix this. I can hear how this could be pushed into a stronger hyperpop direction with mixing, for sure. But it's intriguing in the current, dirty/muddy mix, too. I love the deep rumbling bass-synths with those little drops. It feels resilient.

makes me tear up, honestly
