haven't gotten around to working on much for fawm lately; my momentum faded fast, but that's ok, coz then i can do what i'm doing right now & return later in the month, feeling a bit refreshed lmao

was digging through my external harddrive, mainly to streamline how i organize over a decade's worth of various project files. whenever i plug in this external drive, i inevitably find a good number of interesting musical sketches from years ago that i had totally forgotten about.

one such sketch is a video recording from 2019, about 40 seconds long, of me playing some jazzy chords on the piano that existed in the music practice room of the dorm i lived in during my year of college.

revisiting this video in 2026, i knew i needed to sample it. the result? the track you're hearing right now. definitely went in a 2017-era Childish Gambino direction w/ this beat, the sitar+glockenspiel combo playing the lead melody is a direct homage to "Redbone", if you hadn't guessed. 😜 enjoy!
