I'm not crazy about the idea of writing a song about a song, or music about music, but on the other hand, sometimes you just have to "write about what you know." So...I look forward to developing this one further, for now here's a quick one-take, because it's getting late in the game, and this is only my THIRD song posted! #acousticonetake

Never heard such a stunning thing ringing out into the night My eyes were open wide to such a strange and amazing sight Resounding through some hallowed halls the voices loud and strong Singing it like they mean it, like it’s some kinda sacred song

When I was a kid I stumbled upon a rare and precious find Flat black and circular, and it proceeded to blow my mind Made me jump and made me shout, stomp my feet and sing along I didn’t know what to call it, but now I know it was a sacred song

And there’s a room all filled with bodies Moving to a clattering noise They come from all around the world Men and women, girls and boys I don’t know what to make of it all You can correct me if I’m wrong I think they think they’re hearin’ something Along the lines of a sacred song
