Last year I asked my son for song ideas so I though I would ask for his input again (great work Benji!). He wanted a song called 'ABCD' so the initial melody follows those notes. I added the beat and a few synth parts and then... nothing. I hit a brick wall and lost all my enthusiasm 😞

For a long time I wasn't really enjoying this track, so I ignored it as I had no idea what to do with it. I became so frustrated (not just with this track but with all of my other song ideas). Today, however, I picked up my guitar and started to noodle around and suddenly the song bounced back into life. I'm pleased I didn't completely write it off (I came very close) and it was nice to play some guitar after so long.

It feels good to finish another song. Hopefully I can start to regain the creative spark I've been missing recently.
