this started as a jam over discord last week (i believe) just built this up one bit at a time over a concept that david pitched...the beta manifesto, where we were sort of addressing all the hate as though in a court or something. over the next week we added to the soup and here it is. always a pleasure, fellas! you're lovely.

Lyrics
Make love not war That’s what life is for It’s just politics You don’t have to be such a dick
Distinguished colleagues, We may agree to disagree or agree to embrace the things we can never change We may terminate thought with these tired cliches But “it is what it is” doesn’t really mean anything We can stand together we can stand apart why must you insist we stand in line? Why should we all be the same? Conformity is not what makes life worth living we don’t belong in neat little labeled boxes. necessity is the mother of invention while variety is the spice that gives us…well…life. Respect is a two way street love is but one.
Make love not war That’s what life is for It’s just politics You don’t have to be such a dick
Your argument Is specious at best and at worst it’s pure evil I’m sick of dog whistles ringing rattling and rolling speak truth or remain silent this is not a place for spin the time spent wasted in this little section of space spinning aimless around a star that will one day grow as weary as I and snuff its light plunging this Little Rock into infinite night and your money will not keep you warm will not keep you safe will not keep you pure this whole illusion is losing shape and your allusions are doing the same we are disillusioned with your delusions of grandeur and otherwise Respect is a two way street love is but one.
Make love not war That’s what life is for It’s just politics You don’t have to be such a dick Make love not war That’s what life is for

“Respect is a two way street love is but one.” Love this line. I hear kind of a Beatles-retro feel in the chorus— my kind of catnip!
Very good guys! as others have said you are having far too much fun! you make the almost impossibles seem so easy! all class
You lads are having too much fun this FAWM. Loving your work here. The spoken word is inspired. The chorus is epic. The synth choices are ... choice. And the production is just wonderful - that trailing delay on "love is but one" is perfection.
More of this please!
This is wonderful. Those psychedelic vocals are straight from the floaty ether and it all drifts along so effortlessly carefree on that 3/4 tempo. And the contrast between the spoken word and singing works so wonderfully well. I agree 100% with the sentiment, by the way. Very well done.
Just let this wash over me - enjoyed the relaxation as those mellow sounds eased the stress of the week. Beautiful
An honour and a privilege, gents. That filter intro is inspired. Love the sp-404 ‘beta drums’ and what an outstanding line: “respect is a two way street, love is but one”. Always 🙌
So good!! Those harmonies at the outset reminded me of "Because" by the Beatles, even though they were filtered quite differently. I love that down-tempo groove and the silvery pad. Tasty little guitar riffs. Such a gorgeous sound that I could barely check out or even care about the lyric!
an undiscovered gem from the plastic ono band cira 1971? or a mccartney out take from abbey road? no..it is the beta males from mega mind bringing you a forgotten message from the past that all you millennial apes need to hear... Make Love Not War"
Wheaton's Law is always the right topic. Fantastic message. Dig the vibe – the slow arpeggios and the FX, great stuff. Is that a filter David and/or Adam is using to get the femme voice in the chorus?
I believe he’s just got range but I did use a duplicate track with a flanger on it
I can confirm. I have range. Or a comical falsetto anyway.
You have all my envy today!
This is next-level stuff right here! David's singing paired with Adams speaking sections complements each other like salt and pepper. "Respect is a two-way street, love is but one." Oh my gosh, I am so captivated by every single little thing in this well-crafted song!
