mixed emotions for the abrasive sound design with the energetic pop beat? idk

i wanted to do my take on early '10s electropop. it was one of the first electronic genres i heard and i still have a soft spot for David Guetta, Benny Benassi, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Ellie Goulding, MDNA-era Madonna, Britney Spears...

of course it's my take, so it's a bit long and wonky and has a lot of abrasive sound design. also it has some dubstep, because it wouldn't be a '10s electropop banger without a gratuitous dubstep breakdown :)

this tune's not perfect, i wish i could work on it more but it's a real CPU hog and barely playable on my system. at this point i needed to get something in for FAWM anyway

This is spot on for the genre, I'm not hearing the 'abrasive' sound design, but then this type is intended to be bold and brash! I don't listen to this kind of music much, but I'd like to create a track like this. From your liner notes I was waiting for the Skrillex style dubstep drop and you didn't disappoint! I might get the big speakers ready for when my wife gets home from shopping, I'd love it, one of our neighbours would love it, she'd hate it 😆 - I really like this, nice one.
