OK so I THINK the original idea I was thinking about for this song was to make something where it was like rock mining industrial track drilling to the center of the earth or something, that was the picture in my head anyway.

Honestly it's such a loose fit I doubt it even fits in this skirmish, but I'm putting it here anyway because I did make it for this hour, give or take a few minutes!

The big constraint I wanted to try this time was this: no samples besides ones I recorded myself from gear I owned. There's a little bit of DrumBrute, Korg MS-20, Syntakt, and Volca Drum in there I think . . .

Like the driving, almost hypnotic beat. It tells of determination to get to the core and I like the way it gets more intense as it goes. Reckless abandon indeed. Good job

I dig it! (pun absolutely intended). That's so cool you used all self recorded samples! Those drill-y sounds are amazingly accurate while totally avoiding grating on my soul like drill sounds tend to do. I feel like I'm in a Dr. Robontik-esque earth digging space ship (am I remembering that right from the og sonic?? I have a very clear visual but who knows) cruising through the ground straight to the center of the earth while having an 8-bit dance party in my little earth digging ship until the battery drains and the ship stops and the lights go down. Genuinely really like it and would add it to a dancing/tasking playlist :)
