I choose a click track and recorded some guitar. Then put bass and drums on top of it. I made up the chorusy part completely on the Fly, so the transition is a bit off, but overall I'm pretty happy with how this came together.
It may be something more eventually.

I like it! Definitely think this is one to go back to. It's a great balance of stuff to work with for a melody, but plenty of space to build on top, if you would want to topline it. I like the direction you went at 1:30, that's great contrast with the verse and works really well to shake it up. Nice work!
