Satie's Gnossiene 1 is one of my favorite pieces. I looked at the patterns and recorded an improvised emulation once. And I realized that Satie's voice is so powerful in his piece, that it is impossible not to connect any work like this to his. And I like that. I guess what I'm rambling around to finally saying is that this is a beautiful homage to a remarkably distinctive piece of music. Nicely done.
