Freedom of the Seas

Liner Notes
I was attempting to write a Sea Shanty. It kinda ended up with a Green Day Twist, at least I thought so.
I was really happy with the two stanzas of verse 1; and then had no idea where to go and tried a lot of different things / different parts. a lot of that ended up on the writing room floor because it didn't quite work.
Listening back the chorus part is kinda nice. I had an alternate one that was "call and answer"
I think there is a good idea in here somewhere that I haven't quite captured yet.
Lyrics
Part 1: (Verse?) G When the moon shows bright D Above the darkest night E And the ships roll out to the (C) seas When the north star shines We don't care what we find As the sails fill up from the breeze
When The Sailors Sing And the ship bell rings Poseidon we appease The adventure Calls To Escape these walls To the freedom of the seas
Part 2: (Chorus?) (G) We live the life we love (C) Wanting to be Free (D) Always desire the freedom of the (G) seas Stand up Tall Our backs to the Breeze Always love the freedom of the seas
Part 3: We have got to get going Find the treasure Searching all the world forever We can dream back home our lover But now it's time to go on an adventure
Part 4: A storm comes on out of nowhere Waves rise up beyond compare Ocean wants to give us a hazing Push on through we keep on sailing
