Thinking About Thinking

Liner Notes
I'm really happy with this one, especially since it is a "Slight variation" on a standard 3 or 4 chord song.
The idea "Thinking about Thinking" stems from my 8th grade trip to Washington DC. We ate in an nearly empty (or closed?) mall. The idea has been around in my head forever, and now it is in a song.
My wife wanted to tell ya'll that thinking about thinking is metacognition.
Lyrics
V1: E-A -C#-G# Sometimes at night I lie in bed Can't stop the train running in my head Staring at the ceiling, the ticking of the clock No matter what I do my mind won't stop
Chorus: E-B-C#-G# | E-B-A I am thinking about thinking about thinking about thinking I really wish that my mind would stop I am thinking about thinking about thinking about thinking It is time for the mic to drop
V2: Middle of the day, staring at the screen Cannot focus from all the things that I have seen Distraction pulls my mind away from the task Please don't interrupt me with what you want to ask
Bridge: B The focus time passes me by A Look outside and wonder why B I need a better way to spend my time A Away from this needless boring grind
