Saw this prompt earlier and knew I'd have to come back for it. Was searching for a Cars sound, but I think I found some Buddy Holly in there, too.

I've written songs about my two current dogs, but my last pup, Leika (2008- 2020) hasn't had one yet. And she was an escape artist. Always on the run. She was a rescue that never really wanted to be rescued.

I love that this is from your pet's perspective. "Your four wheels can't beat these feet" - Excellent! I feel like I know Leika from this song. Oh yeah, definitely lean into that Buddy Holly feel!

This is fun. I love the little bits speeding up with the action and can really visualize your dog just taunting you and having the best time doing it. Wholesome and catchy as hell.

Had to take a break from my own work to check yours out —My mad man got the daw up! I liked hearing the electric guitar and the sweet vox harmony… and the (spoiler) harmony at the end was hilarious! This definitely feels like fifties/sixties rock! The clean guitar sounds nice! Good stuff!

Yeah I finally forced myself to dust off the laptop and do one the good way. I have zero confidence working a DAW. Need to practice more. The harmonies are what makes it worth it.
