Lyrics

[Verse] I see you, walk into the room Not looking for me, I assume Words building up, pain in my chest Need to tell you now, but my tongue takes a rest [Verse 2] My emotions, are out of control Without you, I don’t feel whole Will you run, if I confess to you My love, it’s always been true [Pre Chorus] A bottle calls, to my heart One shot, before the words start [Chorus] I need some, liquid courage A few shots, to encourage To loosen up, the truth What do I got, to lose Liquid courage, dulls the blade One more shot, I’m no longer afraid I need some, liquid courage I’m feeling…liquid courage I’ve got this…liquid courage [Verse 3] I grab your hand, pull you close Our eyes lock, and I just froze Cashed in payment, with regret I can’t do this, it’s not time yet [Chorus] I need some, liquid courage A few shots, to encourage To loosen up, the truth What do I got, to lose Liquid courage, dulls the blade One more shot, I’m no longer afraid I need some, liquid courage I’m feeling…liquid courage I’ve got this…liquid courage [Verse 4] Drowning doubt, made it worse Should’ve practiced, and rehearsed Three little words, just a few So, I screamed, I LOVE YOU Yeah…I screamed….I LOVE YOU [Pre Chorus] I looked around, found your smile I think, I’ll just sit down, for awhile Because… [Chorus] I need some, liquid courage A few shots, to encourage To loosen up, the truth What do I got, to lose Liquid courage, dulls the blade One more shot, I’m no longer afraid I need some, liquid courage I’m feeling…liquid courage I’ve got this…liquid courage

Oh, this was a wonderful text. ‘Liquid courage’ is such an incredibly descriptive phrase. This was truly a beautiful text. It makes me want to put a hand on the speaker’s shoulder and tell them it’s okay to try—there’s no way to do it wrong.
