I liked the prompt so much, I had another go. (Decided to go with the Americanised shorts, but I think everyone knows I really mean pants!) Anyhoo...

He’s a superior hero who stands up for all the zeros He’s not afraid to put his life on the line Or his shorts on the outside, as per the accepted guidelines But without those signs, would you really know him at all?

He shuns publicity, he doesn’t need to brag He knows what he has to do He stands up for those who can’t help themselves And you know his intentions are true

He’s a superior hero, but you won’t know his name He’s busy behind the scenes A superior hero, who nudges the numbers Distributes funds to those who are in need

A penny here, and a dollar there, nobody is going to miss them But collectively, they add up to a lot Just a blemish, an unnoticed sunspot Making lives a little bit better for those who have not

He’s a superior hero, he doesn’t even get paid He takes no credit at all Redistribution is the name of his game Or I am just dreaming, dreaming, dreaming, slowly going insane
