Ain't Givin' Up

Another "finished it" challenge entry...I'm notorious for having bits of music laying around that I've recorded for no reason other than to play with some new instrument (in this case the Squier Paranormal Rascal Bass I bought last summer, and Logic Pro as well!) and I ended up with this bed that I had no real ideas for and wasn't sure what to do with it. I decided to just sit down months hence here and let my brain dump and see what it would do with the odd structure, and this happened.
Nothing specific intended situationally, just a rant about determination and an exercise in not self-censoring and seeing what stream of consciousness I could put down. This was fun!
EZ Drummer Squier Rascal Bass + LaBella flats -> Ampeg B25 Squier CV 60's Jazzmaster -> Twin Reverb (rhythm) or Amp Designer (lead) Hammond B-3 + Leslie WurliTzer 200 electric piano -> Peavey Classic 30 word salad
Lyrics
Tryin’ to beat me down Tryin’ to make me frown I bet you think I’m throwin’ in the towel
Pushing me around Knock me on the ground The frustration all but drivin’ me to howl
Been a wicked year Feels like strippin’ gears Think I’m damn near gonna drop the whole transmission
But one thing you forgot I’m a tenacious snot Piss me off and I’ll be goin’ on a mission
You might think I’m down for the count You’re so insufferable But I’m not one to back down or surrender to defeat No matter what goes down I ain’t givin’ up
- guitar solo -
Television - shitting pigeon Conformity and fake religion So devoid of authenticity
Always droppin’ so-called knowledge You’d get tossed right out of college Setting records for sheer mendacity
Manifested pure putrescence Inverse toxic effervescence Like a seltzer that just makes the heartburn worse
Reflux overloads the system Obfuscated intuition Not succumbing to your archmoronic curse
You might think I’m down for the count You’re so insufferable But I’m not one to back down or surrender to defeat No matter what goes down I ain’t givin’ up
Rolling over playing dead might be the easy way out But that has never been to me what life is all about Lift my head up high Gonna touch the sky I’m made of stuff that you will never figure out
You might think I’m down for the count You’re so insufferable But I’m not one to back down or surrender to defeat No matter what goes down I ain’t givin’ up
Nope.
Ain’t givin’ up.
You heard me.
Ain’t givin’ up.

The interplay between the guitars and bass is so cool. Such a hard hitting, groovy sound.
I wish you could see my stank face every time you riff it up on the guitar. This is just so groovy and nice on the ears. Also, you make me giggle, "I’m a tenacious snot," awesome lyrics :)
There are some very cool rhythmic things in the verses (shortened measures?). Sound is excellent as always, great guitar work here. I love the ferocity in which the message is transported. Oh, and I had to look up a word or two.
