I don’t usually write songs TO myself, but I’m in need of a pep talk, so here we are. I’ve done some awesome and fun things, and even if I’m fighting some hard and ugly feelings, I am capable and I needed to remember that.

Remember how long ago When you first learned to play Young hands far too small to flow Grew in skill to today

A comfort now is found In notes and brightened song Just lean into the sound It’s chords will make you strong

Think back on the paths that you’ve walked In bright sun and in rain Through all that life has taught You’ll soon stand up again
