A pale horizon, smeared with the ashes of yesterday's sky. A wind arises, stirring up dust into uncertain lines.
[Chorus:] How many times have I watched the sun rise, counting the days ‘til a future that never arrives? Was I searching for purpose in the senseless dark or just drawing constellations between random stars?
I mark time in boxes, windows to rooms that have nothing inside. Have I stopped belonging here in the stories that make up my life?
