It's been a tough go of writing lately. I have a lot of ideas it's just getting them distilled into songs is harder at the moment. I got this done last night though. Felt good to write something. Let's see how much more I can get done, eh?

What an eerie, unknown tone to the solo! I know that first stanza, shouting and pointing along to hardcore bands in some long foresaken mini-mall in Virginia Beach. I ached for the connection described in the the third stanza but never found it in my punk days.

Awesome tones. Especially love the vocals. Very intriguing lyrics, for me they are of the" I'm not sure exactly what you're saying but I totally know exactly what you are mean"... Ya know? Major bonus points for using the word apothecary in a song.

So good to see you back! I hope you keep going since this is a fantastic start. Love the sound of the guitar, the lead (keyboard?) line and these slightly distorted vocals. The melody sounds so sweet and soothing, but the lyrics transport a profound, touching vulnerability.

Starts dreamy... calm but the lyrics are the opposite - clever! Like the little instruments touches in the breaks between vocals :-)

The melody and guitar in the verses led me in one place - relaxed and enjoying a little poetic virtuosity and then BAM! That chorus hit me hard with its pure chords and melody. Leaves me kind of eager for another shot of the chorus later in the song. I hear all these songs (including yours) and it just makes me swell with the feeling of our collective humanity, sharing our creations with each other on this site. Loved it!

WOW this is incredible. I love how you mirror the guitar part at 1:33. I love the line “feed me notions and the face of god!!!!” I also love the bit about otters, one of my favorite animal facts, and you have used it absolutely devastatingly here. Amazing!

"Selling every moment like it might be our last" followed with "fighting back tears until they come all at once" is the biggest gut punch I've felt this FAWM so far and I love it. So glad you got the first song shared, my friend. Also, I noticed your profile pronouns, and wanted to tell you that's pretty much where I was at last year, realizing I am nonbinary femme. You'll end up where you end up and you've got my support wherever you land. Your music brings me back to my very first FAWM years. Keep on going!
