Vulnerability Hangover

Skirmish: Hangover (@robinleaf)Liner Notes
Lyrics
Did I say too much? Did I scare you off? Should I have left it Between me and my pen?
But you wanted more What else are we here for So I let you in Now I don’t know if I’ll ever see you again
I’ve got a hangover for days But not like the ones we had our freshman year No I haven’t had a drink in half a decade So why do I feel like I’m caving in
Vulnerability hangover I’ve heard it called something like that before And it makes some sense I’m not at my best When I’ve shown my cards to the world
I’ve got a hangover for days But not like the ones we had our freshman year No I haven’t had a drink in half a decade So why do I feel like I’m caving in

I love the melodic changes you have, especially on those extended "I's." Another very relatable song with beautiful vocals and lovely guitar work.
love the descending bass line under your soft chiming lovely vocals. Also intrigued by the lack of any conventional rhyme scheme. It works beautifully!
Beautiful voice, for a beautiful song.
I love this unique take on the theme! Well written and the melody took me on a journey. :)
This is absolutely beautiful. The lyrics are incredibly vulnerable and incredibly relatable. Your voice is magic, and your guitar accompanies it wonderfully. Thank you for sharing.
You have a beautiful voice. Love the melody, lyrics and the way you scan it so conversationally over the chords. Great skirmish. “Should I have left it between me and my pen” just one of the great lines. Also love that ride at the end of the chorus.
The melody in the first line of “I’ve got a hangover for day” is absolutely gorgeous. Wonderful skirmish and interpretation of hangover. Nice job!
Well said and sung. We fight the current climate by being our authentic selves, come what may. And sometimes it doesn’t have the desired effect, but it was still worth trying, and getting real. Thank you for this.
