Liner Notes

#latin A demo with one verse, because I might have to run. I had to look up this Latin sentence, but I am assured that it is often used in a modern context to imply that history precedes meaning. (Still here, so I wrote a second verse.)

Lyrics

If you’ve ever held a hammer You can find things to smash If you’ve run across a scammer You see the value of cash

Quidquid est, id est Quidquid est, id est The past is the textbook The present the test Quidquid est, id est

If you ever played football Then you know when to run If you go down to the local It’s good to know someone

For a short quick song, there's a lot packed into those lyrics. Great images and (potentially) angst. I really like the chorus "the past is the textbook, the present the test". Sounds great!

Ooh I like how moody this one is! I confess I wasn't aware of this phrase before now. Short but effective 👌

“Whatever it is, it is” and this is great. I Love the imagery of the present being a test on the past too!

Very cool song, sets the nostalgic mood. This could work in a movie scene. Beautiful singing and playing.
