That Word

Skirmish: TABOO! (@bergie)Liner Notes
Lyrics
[Verse 1] You did something, you planted a seed It’s like you knew, everything I need I felt it growing, in my chest It’s that one word, I can’t confess [Verse 2] I should say it, you deserve that If it’s not the right time, it falls flat Soft as a petal, but carved in stone That little seed, has sprouted and grown [Chorus] That word, begins with an “L” First time I saw you, I fell Next, follows an “O” It’s a promise, I’ll always show Can you guess, I hold the “V” I hope you feel, the same about me Finally, you know, it’s the “E” I can spell this, but can’t say it, freely NO..not yet, I can’t say it, freely [Verse 3] I know, this may hit you, like a thorn It’s me, not you, don’t be scorned Take this rose, it’s meant for you A symbol of the word, so true [Chorus] That word, begins with an “L” First time I saw you, I fell Next, follows an “O” It’s a promise, I’ll always show Can you guess, I hold the “V” I hope you feel, the same about me Finally, you know, it’s the “E” I can spell this, but can’t say it, freely NO..not yet, I can’t say it, freely [Chorus] That word, begins with an “L” First time I saw you, I fell Next, follows an “O” It’s a promise, I’ll always show Can you guess, I hold the “V” I hope you feel, the same about me Finally, you know, it’s the “E” I can spell this, but can’t say it, freely…
Love (no pun intended 😉 ) your take on the prompt! It can very well be a taboo word. So relatable, so beautifully and poetically expressed in these lyrics. What you did with the chorus was super clever. Great skirmish!
