Lyrics
A young girl of 15 kept the faith 2nd century France Flogged & led out to face the beasts At the tip of a lance With their whipping & torture They put her through hell Still she prayed for her oppressors Who exhausted themselves
Two millennia later In the land of the free They're waging cultural warfare No cake for the impurity
Help us! Help us! We’re being oppressed Saint Blandina remains unimpressed
Bound to a stake Tortured by sadistic fools She won the crown of immortality Burned & thrown to the bulls Do you remember Blandina And how she burned You’ve got no room for any other way My, how the tables have turned
Help us! Help us! We’re being oppressed Saint Blandina remains unimpressed
Help us! Help us! We’re being oppressed I've got an issue that I want to address Saint Blandina remains unimpressed
Jailed, beaten & tortured Strapped to a red hot grate They still couldn’t break her She kept her faith
Now persecuted in the megachurch By happy holidays Flashback 177 Blandina suffers & prays
Help us! Help us! We’re being oppressed! I've got something that I want to confess Saint Blandina remains unimpressed
Help us! Help us! We’re being oppressed Saint Blandina remains unimpressed

Any song about 2nd century France is gonna get five stars from me. Bonus points for ballsy execution!
Had to look it up: "St Blandina, patron saint of torture victims." Wow. She was canonized, but surely deserved much more--a punk song in her name. Bravo.
