#folk #protest #americana I had this idea a while ago when the current administration project 2025 tried to eliminate critical race theory from schools. Then yesterday the news of the Judge in Philly making them restore the slavery display that Trumps goons tore down. That judge is a hero IMO. It inspired this song. Those folks really want to whitewash our history. (literally). After watching the Revolutionary War Ken Burns series, I was reminded that most of our founding fathers were slave owners. Especially George. I was a lot more excited about the writing of this, than the recording. Didn't come out as well as I'd hoped. but i liked my lyrics.
