an exhibition of bitwig's excellent bitcrusher. everything synthesized using only built-in synths
written in around 12 hours for fawm 2026. this song, and all of the others in this series, will likely get edited and re-uploaded as i come back and work on them. if you like the current version, download it, because it's probably going to get worked on and replaced. i might host a version history eventually. add that to the list of things that would make soundcloud a way sicker platform.

this song is HEAVILY inspired by 2-2 off of callasoiled's 10/3 Bandcamp Friday Exclusive Rejected Song Collection; it was used as an arrangement reference to get the first drop of this track off the ground. i don't have a link to it because i bought it when it was only up for a day. best i can do vgmdb.net/album/153406

That middle section was quite a robot slaughterfest, I think. I'm glad you said this took you 12 hours, because there's SO much going on. If I was forced to pick a favorite part, it's that rising effect around 1.20.
The part between 25 and 38 seconds sounded like Pac-Man has escaped from its own world and is now eating away the real world. The rest of the piece is definitely a lot more sophisticated than Pac-Man... Concluding, I think this piece is kinda the whole Hero's Journey of a space robot, compressed into under 3 minutes.
