Lyrics
When I woke up this morning The day felt fresh and new I didn’t read the paper I’m happier than you
I didn’t watch the television I didn’t turn on the news Nothing there seemed seems important to me I’m happier than you
The way I am feel today Should not be permitted I’m so crazy with joy I should be committed Said the happy, happy man
I don’t believe my lying eyes And I haven’t got a clue My mind’s made up, don’t confuse me with facts I’m happier than you
You say there is no justice in the world Maybe for the chosen few It may not seem fair, but I don’t care I’m happier than you
The way I feel today Should not be permitted I’m so crazy with joy I should be committed Said the happy, happy man

Ignorance can truly be bliss, for some. A well-expressed song, very well performed. I enjoyed it.
I know you guys are Southwest as Southwest can be, but this song has a distinctly East Coast Rock flavor- think Beaver Brown or E Street bands. That chorus is one for the ages.
