Infatuated

Liner Notes
Don't overthink everything. Sometimes it keeps you from the best things in life.
Lyrics
I'm completely infatuated with you I'm completely infatuated
I wish I had anything meaningful to say Something that makes you look my way
But when I open my mouth to reach you None of the words make sense My heart is pounding, my tongue is twisted How can we become friends?
I'm completely infatuated with you I'm completely infatuated I'm completely infatuated with you I'm completely infatuated
Blackbirds outside are singing for me today Some sad love songs just like Morrissey
Sound of violins high up in the air Shredding "Stop me" like they don't care But when I open my mouth I don't know what to do So, I'm singing this wordless song for you
Ah dah dubta dum dum...
Every day I sang this tune for you Suddenly you joined in, too Lesson learned how I succeeded: Wise words are not always needed!
Ah dah dubta dum dum…
I'm completely infatuated with you I'm completely infatuated I'm completely infatuated with you I'm completely infatuated

That is so catchy! I love how the verses are carried so well with just bass, and then you put in the guitar stand. So effective. I love it!
It's great, super catchy! The bass is really prominent, it's perfect! The instrumentation is awesome, but the vocals are great too. I love the addition of the acoustic guitar, it's a great contrast!
Loving the bass guitar work - so bubbly! The song has a great pop sensibility where interesting things are happening all the time with a very small instrument set - smart and fun. The bit where the lyrics become dum-dum-dum is really catchy and it completely fits the idea of the singer not being able to think of anything. You can imagine him trying to shoot his shot and then all that comes out is "ah dum dum dum" and, crestfallen he has to beat a retreat. Fun song, well done! For the bass, if you want something obscure for a comparison it is "quark, strangeness and charm" by Hawkwind
