This started as a little microhouse beat while on a plane from TX to CA. I try to give every one of my songs lyrics and vocals, but I just felt the vibe here was more electronic and instrumental. I threw in some heavily effected airplane engine noise in the second half.

In hunting for samples, I remembered John Carpenter's first film, 'Dark Star' (1979), and how acerbic the humor is. In the movie, a small group of blue collar workers have to put up with their boring day job: to blow up planets - and they are stuck in space together on a ship that's falling apart. Carpenter is a master! The dialogue and explosion samples are this movie.

The bombs in 'Dark Star' are self-aware and black comedy ensues. The movie is incredibly relevant to the present conversation about AI and is a great watch. Needless to say, the self-aware bombs in the movie do not perform as designed.
